I am a LEED Accredited landscape architect/planner with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University, presently working as a landscape architect and planner at the Fairfax County Park Authority. I have over 18 years of experience in planning, designing, and managing construction of public and private projects, including parks, mixed-use developments, streetscapes, multi-family developments, and commercial projects.

Experience working in both the public and private sectors throughout the United States on a diveristy of project types has made me equal parts landscape architect and planner. I am detail oriented towards design, and never lose sight of the holistic ideas that drive the design. I excel at working with officals, stakeholders, and the public during the conceptualization phase of projects, but also am adept at designing and managing technical construction of capital improvement projects with demanding schedules and finite budgets. I have years of experience writting proposals, contracts, guidelines and comprehensive master plans. Additionally, I am very experienced in preparing construction docuements, specifications, permitting documents, schedules, and budgets. I also regularly serve as the construction administration lead on projects, and manage the performance of contractors to uphold design integrity, Federal, State, and local codes.

I was raised in a small coal mining town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At an early age I was fascinated by the forces that shaped a place into a unique piece of the world. It was ultimately this fascination that led me into the field of landscape architecture. I am fortunate that my career is also my passion.
